Serving It Up Right Senior Style

Lathrop’s Senior Advisory Commission has been very active this year they are being motivated

and vibrant there is no signs of slowing down.

The weekend before Easter they did their thing with their annual Easter Breakfast. It was a

little tough on the Seniors this year for the Giant Easter Hunt thrown by Parks & Recreation

along with the help from the Youth Advisory Commission wasn’t held at Valverde Community

Park it was held at Sangalang Park in the Stonebridge neighborhood. When it is held at

Valverde Park the families would stop in for a hearty breakfast with the Easter Bunny and the

children would make Easter Baskets before they would go out for the Easter Hunt and

participate in the activities.

Pancakes, sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs, orange juice and coffee it was cooked and served

with a smile and also with that feeling you get when you visit your grandparents home. “So

fulfilling and comfortable”.

Next year it will be bigger and better Valverde Park will be open for business and they will

again have the Easter Bonnet Parade.
