2008 CENSUS DRESS REHEARSAL
In preparation for the 2010 Census, the U.S. Census Bureau is conducting a
2008 Census Dress Rehearsal in two U.S. Counties. San Joaquin County
was selected as one of the two counties. As part of the dress rehearsal, the
Census Bureau is asking each City located within San Joaquin County to
create a "Complete Count Committee" in 2007 to assist in educating citizens
on the importance of accurately and completely filling out the Census Bureau
questionnaire forms that will be distributed to all households in 2008.
The City of Lathrop has agreed to provide assistance in this endeavor and has
established a "Complete Count Committee" consisting of community
members appointed by the Mayor.
